Scott is a leading corporate and commercial lawyer with more than 35 years’ experience in public and private sectors, as well as NGO’s. Currently a partner at Sparke Helmore, he works on cases around Australia and NZ, with a focus on corporate advisory, risk management, governance, mergers and acquisitions, commercial and insurance litigation, workplace relations and resolving internal disputes within organisations.

Scott is a highly sought practitioner who provides advice during critical incidents. This includes the development and execution of stakeholder engagement strategies, media communications plans, management of reputational risk issues and investigations by regulators, particularly in the areas of workplace, environment and trade practices. He understands the equally important priorities of protecting clients’ legal interests and their reputations, particularly during times of pressure when clear, swift and strategic decision making and communication is paramount.

Scott also participates in the development of proactive crisis management strategies, including devising and documenting relevant plans, training and audit reviews.
